maps, maps, maps!

Now that the china cabinet is painted my goal was to find a fun print or fabric for the back of the china cabinet! While I was in a antique store I came across a shelving unit with a map in the background and instantly knew that was the look I wanted, with more of an antique map look.

While at work we decided to take out some garbage, and to my surprise there was a roll of about 30 old antique Canadian region maps from 1948! They were exactly what I was looking for... and FREE! There are so many possibilities with these little treasures! My mom is going to take a couple to frame for a future bedroom update!

Love them! I will have 15 after I'm done with my projects... what else could I use them for? So many possibilities...

  1. you could also cover up some books with the maps... i dont know if you ever did that in school to protect the book. I saw it on some blog I think instead of all these books to be different colors on your bookshelf then you can put the map covered ones on a coffee table or something. i LOVE your blog missy! ps this is marie-claude :)
